Moon events are held on the Friday closest to the full or new moon during the cooler months from November to April.  These events are available for sponsorship. Check out what we offer here. Enjoy yoga and meditation classes by the lake in the peaceful urban oasis of Dubai Internet city. Instructors donate their time, so we ask you to give a minimum donation of AED 50 per class which is given to our selected charity for the year.

What is the difference between Full Moon yoga and New Moon Yoga?
During the full moon, we practise a gentler style of yoga like hatha and yin yoga as the energy is more contemplative and reflective.
During the new moon we can feel often feel a lack of energy so we practise a stronger style of yoga like ashtanga vinyasa and power yoga.

FULL MOONFEST 23 November 2018

15.00 - 18.00

Each event has 3 classes: 2x50-minute yoga sessions followed by 30-minute meditation/sound session

Join us for yoga and meditation as the full moon over the lake at Dubai internet city.  Our first event of the season is sponsored by Total Yoga.   Each class is designed to stimulate the opening of our anahata or heart chakra.

ANAHATA comes from the root word ANHAD (unstruck). In deep states of Meditation; Anhad Nad (sound) is heard emanating from the region at the centre of our chest. This is the primordial sound - not created by the striking of 2 things. In other words, this is the unstruck sound - and hence that region is called ANAHATA Chakra. When Anahata is open and active - we feel a surge of LOVE and acceptance of People unconditionally as they truly are and so we call it the HEART Chakra!

Anahata (heart chakra) occupies a special place in the Yogic tradition. It s the mid-point among our Chakras: with equal Upward rising force balanced with equal Downward rising forces - and our choices in life are made based on which tendencies take control of us. Yoga is essentially a journey from Mooladhar (root) to Sahasraar (crown) Chakra and the corresponding states of consciousness and experiences in life.

Ta’alouf is Al Jalila Foundation’s flagship program that equips teachers and parents with knowledge and skills to better manage children with disabilities and special educational needs. Ta’alouf means ‘harmony’ in Arabic and brings this spirit to life by working in unison with strategic partners, parents, educators and the wider community to empower children of determination.

As a ‘not for profit’ community event, we are very grateful to our corporate sponsors without whom our events could not take place. If you have any questions regarding sponsorship, please View our Yogafest Event brochure.
